Welcome to Melissa Data Global IP Locator. The Global IP Cloud Service is able to validate IPv4 addresses and give you geographic information for it. This geographical data can place an IP address within a city and postal code. It can also tell you the connection type and speed.
You can use Global IP to:
- Verify that an IP address is valid.
- Associate a physical location with an IP address.
- Determine connection type and speed.
- Associate an ISP with an IP address
Licensing
The license string is a software key required to use the service. You will receive your license string from you Melissa Data representative. Without the license string, Global IP Locator will not function.
To set the license string, use the CustomerID property in your requests. See Customer ID for more information.
