Getting started with Pentaho is easy if you follow the steps below:

Getting Started

Install

You must first install the Melissa Data Components for Pentaho on your computer. For more information, see Installation.

Subscribe

You must subscribe to use all the features of the Melissa Data components for Pentaho. For more information, see Subscribe.

License Key

You must set your License Key in each Melissa Data Component you use. This proves your subscription. For more information, see License.


Basics

After finishing the Getting Started steps, you are ready to use the Melissa Data Components for Pentaho.

A basic transform generally consists of:

  1. Drag and drop the desired Melissa Data Component to the workspace.
  2. Add a data input and connect it to the component.
  3. Configure the Melissa Data Component.
  4. Add a data output and connect it to the component.
  5. Run the transform.
