Current Customer
- If I’m already an IP Locator customer what do I need to do to use V4?
- All existing IP Locator Web Service subscriptions allow access to the V4 web service.
- Customers using the IP Locator on-premises API who wish to switch to the new service will need to contact a sales representative to get a subscription to the web service.
Functionality Differences
- Is there any loss in functionality from V2 to V4?
- All that is lost is XML support.
Upgrade Benefits
- What are the benefits of switching to V4?
- In addition to the geographical data provided by the V2 service, V4 also provides data on the connection speed and type of the IP address. It also has improved performance, weekly data updates, and improved data coverage.
