- Automation
- 100 percent of the final mailing must be CASS Certified and contain information to generate Delivery Point codes (9-digit ZIP + 4 plus 2-digit Delivery Point code).
- Addresses must be verified using CASS Certified software (such as Address Check) every six months.
- Carrier Route information must be updated using a CASS-certified process (such as Address Check) within 90 days before mailing.
- Barcoded container labels are required.
- Non-automation
- Address-checking software
- Include residuals with this sortation
- This will include residual mail pieces on the Postage Statement.
Residual mail pieces are mailing pieces that do not qualify for any sortation discounts.
